River and Mercantile Group (R&M) has today announced the appointment of Robin Minter-Kemp as Non-Executive Director.

His recruitment follows the merger of asset manager River and Mercantile and investment consultancy P-Solve earlier this year and the recent appointments of Paul Bradshaw as Group Chairman and Kevin Hayes as Chief Financial Officer.

Robin has more than 25 years’ experience in the fund management industry, holding senior positions with Henderson Investors and HSBC Asset Management before joining Cazenove Fund Management in 2001. Over the subsequent 12 years, Robin was instrumental in developing Cazenove’s specialised investment business, building external funds under management from c.£300m to £6.5bn ahead of the business’ acquisition by Schroders plc in July 2013.

Robin Minter-Kemp said: “I am very pleased to be joining the Board of R&M and have been deeply impressed by the Group’s high growth, scaleable business model, the strength of the team’s client relationships and its culture of client-focused innovation. All these factors contribute to positioning R&M strongly within the increasingly integrated institutional and private investor markets.”

R&M Chief Executive Mike Faulkner said: “Robin’s significant experience and insight into the fund management industry will be invaluable to the Group as we continue to develop our growth strategy across a differentiated range of markets.”

R&M Chairman Paul Bradshaw said: “I very much look forward to working with Robin, whose specific skills and senior-level advice will further enhance the depth of knowledge and experience within our growing Board.” Read More…
